On a bridge in Almagro near the bus stop for the 160 and 151 are these paintings of a barber shop. There are many male barber shops here, run by old men who have obviously had the business their whole lives. They spend their days talking to the people from the neighbourhood who pass by, and cutting the hair and beards of the regulars who frequent them. You don´t make an appointment, you simply show up and wait until it´s your turn. I love the colours and the formation of the figures in these paintings and the way they are done in a circle and are framed by the studs and steel of the bridge.
