This mural surrounds Parque Centenario and is just next to the Museum of Natural Science. There used to be dinosaurs painted here, but the other day I passed by on the bus and noticed that they had redone it. The colours and the faces are amazing! I think this is my favourite street art discovery since I´ve been living in Buenos Aires.

The Museum of Natural Science
The Museum of Natural Science in Parque Centenario was opened in 1937, but it actually existed before that. In 1812 it was originally opened in another location, and moved around a couple of times until ending up here, next to the park. While the animal and plant life is fascinating, I found myself drawn to photographing the building itself and the many paintings inside depicting extinct species and natural landscapes. The place is a mix of A Night at the Museum meets Metropolis, and while the place could use a bit of funding thrown its way, the 3 peso entry fee is worth every centavo just to wander around for a couple of hours.
